If I could be anywhere right now, I would be on the first chairlift up Stevens Pass on a bluebird day with 6″ of fresh powder.
Why are you drawn to this line of work? I find the process of monitoring the markets and synthesizing information, developing theses, and sourcing investments to implement those theses challenging and rewarding. It allows me to exercise my intellectual curiosity and constantly learn, while also generating positive outcomes for clients in a material and measurable way.
What is one of your favorite places to visit? I will never pass up an opportunity to go to Lake Chelan, no matter the time of year. Growing up I went there with my family every summer and many of my fondest memories have occurred there like learning how to ride a bike, racing my brothers down the slides at the water park, and swimming in the lake for hours on end.
If you had a warning label, what would it say? If I seem annoyed, I’m probably just hungry.
When I am not a work, you might find me playing board games with my friends or family, traveling around the world, or on a mountain enjoying the incredible nature of the Pacific Northwest.

Garrett joined Caprock in October 2022 as an Associate Director, Real Assets. Prior to Caprock, Garrett spent 6 years in investment consulting for Verus Investments where he was responsible for private markets manager research, covering real assets and private credit. In this role, he gained valuable experience in due diligence and developed a passion for sourcing investment opportunities.
Garrett graduated from the University of Washington in 2016 with a B.A. in Finance. He lives in Seattle where he enjoys various outdoor activities including hiking, snowboarding, and rock climbing.
