My path to becoming an advisor was non-conventional. After following my dream of playing professional basketball here in the US and overseas, I had the good fortune of being introduced to a respected advisory firm located in Los Angeles and knew I needed to live near an ocean once again with access to good surf! While there wasn’t a specific catalyst that drove me toward wealth management, I was curious about the industry and wanted to find a career that allowed me to help others.
Being an advisor, I am very fortunate to work with incredible entrepreneurs, families, athletes, and foundations that inspire me to work hard to provide creative solutions that serve them best. One of my favorite memories has been assisting one of my clients navigate a multi-year journey to sell their privately held business. Witnessing them grow their business out of a small warehouse into a multimillion-dollar global enterprise was incredibly inspirational. I will never forget the joy they experienced the day the acquisition went through.
As a former professional athlete, I learned very early on that to achieve great success, I need to surround myself with a team of value-driven individuals that truly care for one another. Caprock’s team approach to managing wealth and supporting clients sets us apart. If a client comes to me with a complex problem outside of my domain of expertise, I know I can pick up the phone, and dial any of my team members to ask for guidance. This collaboration enables me to optimize successful outcomes for my clients.
