Matt Swanson

Reporting Systems Lead

Some of my skills on the job are… problem solving, designing scalable and efficient solutions, and building meaningful connections with coworkers and clients alike. I love to tackle problems as a team and find solutions that benefit the group as a whole.

Favorite quote “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” – Albus Dumbledore (J.K. Rowling)

What is the favorite thing about your career? My favorite thing about my career has been the people that it has allowed me to meet and work with. Working in a rapidly expanding financial services industry not only means I have gotten to push myself and grow quickly, but that I have been able to meet a lot of wonderful and talented people and mentors along the way.

If you could do anything for a day what would it be? I would love to call the plays as offensive coordinator for a college football game or be a referee in an NBA game. This would serve a dual purpose of getting me in on the action and being right there with the players, and would also put my couch-quarterbacking skills to the ultimate test.

What is something on your bucket list? Sit courtside at a Jazz basketball game during the NBA Finals.

What is one of your favorite places to visit? Lake Powell! My parents inherited a rickety old houseboat and our family loves spending time out exploring the lake, boating, fishing, and enjoying the opportunity to disconnect and spend time together.
