Impact has always been in my DNA. In fact, my first job after an accounting degree was serving as a 3-year Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, West Africa. While grassroots development work will always be in heart, I know that philanthropy alone cannot solve environmental and social problems. We need to utilize financial tools to sustainably scale solutions to improve people’s lives and protect the planet.
Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of gaining invaluable experience in finance and asset management at renowned financial institutions, including the International Finance Corporation. However, it is at Caprock where I find the most fulfillment, as I am able to combine my investment experience with my passion for mobilizing private capital toward impactful investments that deliver both financial returns and measurable social and environmental outcomes.
One of the unique aspects of Caprock is our longstanding track record in private investing, where we apply a disciplined approach to due diligence and portfolio management while still being nimble and agile in order to participate in innovative and high-growth investment opportunities. This is a core reason why I joined Caprock and because of our status as a founding B Corporation member sets us apart, reflecting our unwavering commitment to finance-first impact investing. At Caprock, I get the utmost joy by closely working with my Advisor colleagues in assisting them in strategically integrating impact into their clients’ portfolios. And there is nothing more exciting than when I have the opportunity to roll up my sleeves and contribute to shaping an impact strategy focused on a specific thematic area for one of our family and family foundation clients.
